On Monday I woke up to go to camp. I put my clothes on. Then I had breakfast, and then I went to camp. At first we played on the playground.
Then we got called into the dining room. We had to sit on the chairs. Carolynne told us all the rules and the boundaries.
We did archery at first, I nearly got a bulls-eye but I missed it. The next thing we did was play on the playground. Then Miss Hooper unlocked the flying fox. It was very fun because we got to go very fast on it. She pulled us back and then let us go.
After the flying fox did Orienteering. My group was Maddy and Tyler. We had to find these little red things all around the camp. We had to press this button so that little pointy things went into the paper, to see if it was right and it was. Then we had lunch with the older kids. There were some wasps and they liked our food.
Then we played predator. I was a duck. All the kids wearing orange bibs could eat me. I had to find 3 waters and 3 foods but I only got 2 foods and no waters. Nina, Kristal, Angus, Shane and Jodie caught me. I nearly got touched by Callum. He was RABIES!
After predator Bushman Bob talked to us for a little bit in the hall where we could see the deer and the goat up on the wall. Then we went on his motorbike trailer to where we were going to make bivvies. We had to walk though trees for a bit then there was a place to build a bivvie. We had to get some sticks (we had to cut them down). We had to make Bushman’s pegs and Bushman’s needles. We put the needles in and out of the black plastic, and the pegs made it stay down. The Bushman’s pegs look like Y’s. We put the pegs into the black plastic and hammered them into the ground with a big block of wood. When we had made the bivvie we all went inside and did the water test. Bushman Bob poured water all over us. It was cool. We didn’t get wet.
Monday was really fun and I couldn’t wait until Tuesday!
On Tuesday the first thing we did was the flying fox. Miss Hooper unlocked the flying fox. We all had turns on it. She pulled us back each time we had a go. She counted up to 3 then let us go. I went really fast.
River study was the next thing. Mr Archer took us and he was really nice. We had to split into groups. My group was Kieran and Conner. Mum was helping us and Sam was too. We got a scrubbing brush and a sieve we had to brush the grass in the water and all the little animals went into the sieve. We caught heaps of 3-tailed mayflies, some sandfly larvae, 3 stick bugs and snails.
We did games after that. We got a big parachute and we held an end each. When Miss Hooper called mushrooms we all pulled the tent up and when she called a person wearing something we ran in and out again. The next thing we did was croquet.
The next thing we did team building activities. We did balancing on the platform; we had to make sure we could balance each other so the platform didn’t touch the ground.
